Trusteeship / Skilled Volunteering

Being a Trustee can be thoroughly rewarding and impactful experience. It is especially suited to those with Business, IT, finance, HR or Fundraising backgrounds. However, having an interest in the governance and suitability of the organisation should be enough to get involved.

Most charitable organisations will have a committee, management board or board of trustees who oversee the direction of the charity and make collective decisions about its future.

Trustee roles can fit in with busy lifestyle, without needing a substantial commitment in-terms of timeThey are great if you’re looking to give something back but don’t want to volunteer at a grassroots level, or if you want to give an organisation the benefit of your professional/life experience.

For more information, why not attend one of our FREE workshops. Alternatively, check out the Charity Commission ‘The Essential Trustee: What you need to know and what you need to do’ to find out more about whats involved in trusteeship.
